Abstract

This work aims to reconstruct the link that has been created between the pilgrimage, travel, tourism and the motivations that drove two different characters such as the duce and Pope Pius XI to implement the rapprochement between the Italian State and the Vatican, whose relations had broken down abruptly in 1870.
