Without claiming to be exhaustive, the present essay will briefly highlight some of the fundamental dynamics of the transformation occurred along the centuries in Europe. Specifically, in the last part, the work will focus on the globalization, and also on the particular relation between State, nation, and society, in a changing Europe.
