Abstract

The French Revolution and its immediate political and cultural heritage significantly influenced that movement which is called the “Italian Risorgimento”. The essay examines the thinking of two protagonists of this movement in relation to the Great Revolution, its historical location and its political results, pointing out their assonances and profound differences.
