Dove sta andando l'Europa?

Abstract

Il conflitto russo-ucraino, iniziato nel 2014 dopo l'annessione della Crimea alla Federazione Russa e riacceso nel febbraio 2022 con l'"operazione militare speciale" nel Donbas, mostra le debolezze e le carenze dell'Unione Europea: l'allargamento a est-ovest, la mancanza di una politica estera autonoma, l'assenza di una proprietà europea di difesa e sicurezza e la dipendenza dalla NATO. Questo breve articolo mira a far luce sui principali problemi dell'Unione Europea nel contesto della crisi ucraina.

The Russian-Ukrainian conflict, which started in 2014 after the annexation of Crimea to the Russian Federation, and re-flamed in February 2022 with the “special military operation” in the Donbas, shows the weaknesses and shortcomings of the European Union: the east-west enlargement, the lack of an autonomous foreign policy, the absence of a European defense and security ownership and the dependence on NATO. This short article aims to shed light on the major problems of the European Union in the context of the Ukrainian crisis.
