Abstract

Negli ultimi tempi - in particolare dal 2019 -, il dibattito sulla Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) è diventato centrale per le relazioni tra Cina ed Europa. Nonostante la crisi del COVID-19, la leadership cinese sembra avviata verso una rapida ripresa economica e un rafforzamento della sua posizione internazionale. L'UE e gli Stati Uniti sono chiamati a rispondere a questa complessa sfida.

In recent times – in particular since the 2019 –, the debate on the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) has become central for the relations between China and Europe. Despite the COVID-19 crisis, the Chinese leadership seems headed toward a rapid economic recovery and a strengthening of its international position. The EU and the US are called upon to meet the complex challenge.
