Europe Has to Get Its Act Together. A plea for a common, self-assured Foreign Policy

Abstract

This essay is a plea for a common foreign policy for the European Union. The author shows that Europe has to face serious conflicts right before its door-step as both the Ukrainian and the Syrian crisis show. There is no common strategy to face these ongoing crises. The consequences are fatal for the cohesion of the European Union as the interventions obviously remain without any geopolitical impact.
