Central European culture: plurality and pluralism

Abstract

The essay is one of the speeches of the 51st International Cultural Mitteleuropean Meeting, which occurred in Gorizia in 2016. It considers the Mitteleuropean question, highlighting the extreme difference between the political and juridical plurality of the Empire and the pluralism of the policy of the Enlightenment, which initially had a centralized structure (as in French Revolution) and then evolved to the indifference of the collective identities.
