Abstract

This issue of Europea takes on a different connotation compared to the previous traditional issues since we are pleased to host the works of the panel The movements for European unity (1979-2009), coordinated by Professor Daniela Preda and presented on the occasion of the IX edition of the "Cantieri di Storia contemporanea", held in Padua between 13 and 15 September 2017, and promoted by the Italian Society for the Study of Contemporary History (SISSCO). The structure of the 2/2017 issue of our magazine, therefore, is organized as follows: a large monographic section where, as mentioned, the contributions presented to the Cantieri di Padova are placed, a second, more concise than usual, dedicated to essays and notes and, finally, a third where the usual reviews find space.
