African Great Lakes: the threat of a continental conflict

Abstract

Today in African Great Lakes region there is a threat of a continental war. After the agreement between the governments of Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda in 2021, the rebels of M23 are coming back to fight in North Kivu. The essay analyzes the historical causes of the weakness of the African State, beginning from the Belgian colonization in Congo.
